For my last Photo J assignment in the class, I had the option to choose which type of photos to shoot. I chose to do portraits of my friend Trace longboarding, similar to my first portrait assignment. Here are the photos and cutlines I turned in.
Freshman Trace Martin sits on his longboard and looks off into the distance. Trace’s best friend, Cameron Day, showed him the sport and encouraged him to start. Now Trace has been longboarding for nearly a year and learns new skills all the time.
Trace Martin rides down the street on his longboard. Longboarding is a form of skateboarding in which you ride down hills and cruise around at higher speeds than you normally would on a skateboard. The sport involves much more thrill in the high speeds, and it is considered slightly dangerous.
